Verminate was born after Mraz left MORA in March of 2010 and decided to follow his true passion, Death Metal. After not being able to find any members he decided to work on a new band alone and started writing songs for (then still named) Doomed.
In early June 2010, Uroš Eršte on guitar and Galena Jordanova on bass joined. Recording for their first EP: "From The Crypt" started in late June 2010 and was released on the 13th of September 2010. Matej Štefanič joined as a session drummer later on.Matej left in the beginning of October due to his student duties and Gorazd Ledinek joined Doomed as a permanent member. A series of very successful gigs followed. After the Metal Camp 2011 festival gig, Doomed decided to part with their drummer Gorazd due to the differences in interest. And so Žiga Zupanc stepped into his place. In Spring of 2012 the basist Galena had to leave the band due to school obligations and lack of time, Miha Ozvaldič filled her place. The Band is currently preparing for the upcoming gigs and writing new material for their upcoming LP. After the Summer festival session 2012, the band decided to change their name to a name more fitting to the music, the name chosen was Verminate (to become infested with vermin, to breed vermin). In early 2013 the band decided that it was time to find a new drummer.

Verminate war geboren nachdem Mraz seine vorherige Band MORA im März 2010 verlassen hat und beschloss, seiner wahren Leidenschaft zu folgen - Death Metal. Nach der langen erfolglosen Suche nach Mitgliedern hat er sich entschieden, selber songs für (damals noch) Doomed zu schreiben.
Anfang Juni 2010 sind Uroš Erste an der Gitarre und Galena Jordanova am Bass Doomed beigetreten. Die Aufnahmen für ihre erste EP: "From The Crypt" begonnen Ende Juni 2010, die EP ist am 13. September 2010 erschienen. Matej Štefanič trat als Session-Drummer später bei. Matej hat die Band anfang Oktober wegen seiner universitäts Pflichten verlassen und Gorazd Ledinek ist Doomed beigetretten. Darauf folgte ein Serie erfolgreicher Gigs. Nach dem Metal Camp 2011 Festival Gig fiel die Entscheidung sich von Gorazd wegen der interessenkollisionen zu trennen. Und so trat Žiga Zupanc in seine Fußstapfen. Im Frühling 2012 musste die Bassistin Galena, wegen Schulischen-pflichten und Zeitmangels, die Band verlassen. Die Die Band bereitet sich gerade für die anstehenden Gigs und schreiben neues für ihre kommende LP. Am Ende der Sommer Festival Saison 2012, entschied sich die Band ihren Namen zu ändern, zu etwas was mehr zu der Musik passte, der gewählte Name war Verminate (voller Ungeziefer zu sein, Ungeziefer züchten). Am Anfang 2013 hat die Band beschlossen das es Zeit ist einen neuen Drummer zu Suchen.

Verminte so nastali, ko je Mraz zapustil svoj prejšnji band MORA v marcu 2010 in se je odločil slediti svoji pravi strasti – Death Metalu. Po dolgem času neuspešnega iskanja članov se je odločil, da bo začel sam delati na avtorskem materialu za (takrt še pod imenom) Doomed in je tako začel s procesom pisanja komadov.
V začetku junija 2010 sta se Doomed pridružila Uroš Eršte na kitari in Galena Jordanova na basu. Snemanje za prvi EP: "From The Crypt" se je začelo konec junija 2010, EP je bil izdan 13. Septembra 2010. Matej Štefanič se je kasneje pridružil kot začasni član na bobnih. Matej je band zapustil v začetku oktobra zato, da bi sledil svojim obveznostim na fakulteti in Gorazd Ledinek se je pridružil Doomed. Serija uspešnih koncertov je sledila. Po nastopu na Metal Camp 2011 festivalu so se Doomed odločili, da se bodo zaradi interesnih konfliktov ločili od Gorazda. Tako je Žiga Zupanc prišel na njegovo mesto. V pomladi 2012 je morala basistka Galena zaradi šolskih obveznosti in pomanjkanja časa zapustiti bend, njeno mesto je zapolnil Miha Ozvaldič . Bend se trenutno pripravlja na prihajajoče nastope in piše novi material za prihajajoči LP. Po festivalskem poletju 2012 se je band odločil spremeniti ime v nekaj kar dosti bolj ustreza glasbi. Ime, ki je bilo izbrano je Verminate (biti poln mrčesa, zaploditi mrčes, biti črviv). V začetku leta 2013 se je band odločil da je čas za novega bobnarja.
